The college is located north of metro Atlanta in Forsyth County at 7745 Majors Road in Cumming. A short distance from Alpharetta north on GA 400 it is easily accessible from metro Atlanta and the outlying suburbs from all major arteries.

This year a new will mark the opening of a new 52,000 sq ft. Medical Technology Center. This is a state-of-the-art $12 million facility provides medical training programs, including radiology, sonography, medical skin facility technology, surgical technology and physical therapy, as well as a 30,000-sq.-ft. conference center. With this addition comes more parking and space for 300 cars.

Lanier Technical College also offers both Medical and Motorsport Technology programs among many others. It has been the home of Cars And Coffee Atlanta for many years.

The Lanier Technical College Motorsports Vehicle Technology (MVT) program offers students the extraordinary opportunity to prepare for a career in the fascinating world of motorsports. Culminating in either an associate degree or diploma in motorsports vehicle technology, the MVT curriculum covers all the main topics in motorsports and ranges from classroom theory to hands-on experience.
They offer students an opportunity to work with a large range of race cars - the largest educational collection in the US.
